I've been using this mouse for about three months now and it just keeps right on doing it's job. I know the battery is supposed to die and I have a spare, but like the Energizer Bunny, this guy just keeps right on ticking, doing it's mouse job perfectly. So color me happy with Microsoft for this wireless mouse. This is something they've done very right.

at first this mouse worked great. The problems started to appear on the next start up after I installed the mouse. The new hardware installation wizard started to appear and continue doing so every time I restart the computer. All it takes is just cancel that wizard, but it's annoying.
But that's not even a problem. The problem is that the roller wheel broke and did not respond and wasn't making those clicking sounds anymore on the 4th day after I purchased it. I had to take it back to the store and exchange it. So far the second mouse works, but that installation wizard still keep appearing no matter what I tried to do.

I've owned the desktop version of this mouse for 4 years. Other than replacing the battery every 2-3 months or so...it has performed flawlessly...I also use it for VR gaming.
This is the reason I bought the laptop version for my laptop. So far is is doing just as well.
